The Village is the first location that the player will find. The player starts off in their house, and then exits their house to get to the home town. They will recieve mail telling them to go to the top of the home town. Once they have done that, they will have a conversation with Geezer, the person who sent them the mail, and will then go through a cutscene that introduces the mechanic of rotating, as well as showing the hexahedron break. They will then go through the home town and look in doors to find a cube, which they use to open a one cube door to get to the 2-cube-door area. To be specific, there a 8 cube bits scattered around the village: 4 are inside houses, and 4 are just in the village. There are 2 chests that both contain keys. If a key is used to open the locked door in the village, the player will find the boiler room, which contains a treasure map.

SPOILER ALERT:

The boiler room also contains a puzzle: by interpreting the tetris pieces on the walls as button presses and the symbols next to them as numbers, it is possible to get an anticube. Since some of the code is always hidden behind a boiler in the room, this puzzle requires first person to solve.

SPOILER ALERT:

In the first house above the player's house, an anticube can also be found by rotating left and right based on which side each person in a picture seen by entering the room and turning right is wearing their fez (right right left right left left left right). By entering the fireplace in this house like a door or turning 180 degrees and walking to where the fireplace is, it is possible to get to a hidden room hidden within that room that contains a chest with a key.
